The skies around Margate are "the loveliest in all Europe", according to artist JMW Turner... which is why, presumably, Margate returned the complement and named their modern art gallery after him. Sited on the seafront, Turner Contemporary has some extraordinary things to see amongst their changing exhibitions, interspersed with suitably beautiful views of the sea and sky. Exercise your eyes there from 10am to 5pm this Thursday.
