Built in 1832 and home to a prosperous New York merchant family for almost a century, the Merchant's House Museum now displays the rooms, furniture and decor that once adorned thousands of 19th century New York homes. Go back in time there late on Thursday night: the museum is open until 8pm, with guided tours at 2pm and 6.30pm.
